  • Resounding Success at the Executive Hire Show

    May 2015

The Executive Hire Show is said to be the ‘industry’s unmissable national event for everyone involved in tools, plant and equipment hire’ and we’re pleased to say that Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd had a fantastic presence at this event with over 100 sales leads secured. The show, now in its 9th consecutive year, took place over two days at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena and attracted more than 2,000 visitors. Thanks to a great effort from Marketing, we had a large, impressive exhibition stand.

A reciprocal deal was also carried out at the show with Obart Pumps, who also had a stand at the show. Obart Pumps have agreed to become dealers for two of our product ranges – Taskman Pressure Washers and the Green Rhino® environmental range. The Green Rhino® range includes spill kits, filtration systems and the award-winning EnviroPad which presents a revolutionary method of spill containment. Designed to replace traditional drip trays and absorbent products, the EnviroPad utilises sophisticated polymer technology to retain spills and drips when using or storing plant, tools or fuel containers. Unlike any other product available on the market, it ‘locks in’ hydrocarbons, solidifying and immobilising hazardous fluids into a dry, solid mass, helping organisations to avoid prosecution and heavy environmental fines for contaminated ground water.

At the show, we also agreed to sell and stock a new range of Tsurumi petrol and diesel pumps from Obart Pumps. The new range includes TED models which are self-priming, centrifugal trash pumps and DryMax automatic priming, diaphragm trash pumps with Yanmar electric start engines.

Pete McMutrie, National Accounts Manager of Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd said: “We are delighted to have agreed this deal at the show. It allows both companies to target the hire market, whilst securing improved network coverage and availability of our respective product ranges.”
