Solihull on Show
The team from our Seddon Garden Machinery depot in Solihull have had a busy Summer gaining some fantastic exposure at two trade shows.
The first event was the famous Kenilworth Show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. Hosted by the Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society, it has become the foremost Country Show in Warwickshire attracting some 15,000 visitors and 120 trade stands. Several equestrian, livestock and homecraft activities take place during the one day outdoor show, such as a grand parade of livestock, clay shooting, a classic car show, a display of vintage and modern farm machinery and even a sheep show. The Seddon Garden Machinery contingent exhibited at the show and Honda provided an impressive display unit which proved useful when the heavens opened.
A few days after the Kenilworth Show the Seddon Garden Machinery team hot-footed it to the NEC in Birmingham to man the outdoor Honda stand at BBC Gardeners’ World Live alongside another Honda distributor, Worcester-based Ron Smith Garden Machinery. Over 400 exhibitors participated in the five-day event which offered everything for gardening lovers from zones such as ‘Gardeners’ Grow and Eat’ and ‘Gardeners’ Marketplace’ to one of the country’s largest floral marquees in association with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). A series of top gardening experts attended and presented at the show, such as BBC radio and TV gardening expert Ady Dayman and renowned gardening writer and presenter Monty Don. The Honda stand really stood out at the show and could be identified by a huge inflatable Honda-branded dome structure.
Trevor Turton, Depot Manager of Seddon Garden Machinery in Solihull said: “BBC Gardeners’ World Live was a fantastic show for us and we had a constant stream of visitors over the five days. We received numerous orders during the event for a wide range of gardening equipment such as lawnmowers and strimmers.”
